The major towns and villages in this area are Soller, Valldemossa, Deia, Fornalutx, Banyalbufar, Estellencs and Port de Soller.
This part of Mallorca is very popular with buyers from the British Isles with a huge demand for villas and typical Mallorcan fincas. The town of Sóller has a population of around 16,000 people and is the cultural centre for this area. It is adjacent to Port de Sóller which has recently benefited from major reconstruction, these factors, combined with a twenty five minute drive time to Palma, has led to increased interest which is reflected in property prices. Port de Sóller’s large marina has recently been upgraded by the local authority and the area is generally regarded as a very secure and profitable investment opportunity.
